Review: e.l.f Shimmer eyeliner pencils

e.l.f Essential Shimmer Eyeliner Pencil ($ 1/ Rs.170) is a shimmering metallic eye pencil that glides on smoothly and is available in 9 different shades. Perfect for the eyes this summer. I have with me only 5 shades. Planning on trying the rest.

According to the website:
Instantly brighten eyes with e.l.f.’s shimmering metallic liners that put the spotlight on eyes. The smooth formulation glides on effortlessly without tugging at the delicate eye area. Choose from an assortment of 9 delicious and essential shades designed to add depth, definition and a special sparkle to create a very glamorous look! Pencil includes a convenient sharpener cap for easy use!

Here are the swatches.
 From left to right:Plum passion,Gunmetal,Boldly bronzed,Twinkle Teal,Black bandit.

My Thoughts:

The Cons:

-Out of them twinkle teal is the least pigmented. I had to swatch it couple of times to get the intensity.
-The colours are good but they don't last long.
-They smudge easily.

The Pros:

-They look great when used alone or with some eyeshadow.
- Inexpensive.
- Nine gorgeous colours.
- The sharpener works.
-They glide on smoothly and you don't need to tug the eye area.

Although they don't last long but if you put similar colour eyeshadow over it then they do stay for quite a while.

Why I buy them again?

Yess!!! I will because they are inenxpensive and pretty colours too.

Do let me know what you all think?

Summer Skincare Routine

Hola Bonitas!!!

Summer is just here and it's time for popsicles and ice creams and cool drinks and picnics...yayy!!!
To enjoy all these you have to take care of yourself and your skin. So here is my routine for summer.since, i'm on holidays and have no stress, I tend to take extra care for my skin. So here are the things i use on daily and on weekly basis.

1.Cosméceutique Natural FaceWash (Rs.280): I wash my face 2-3 times throughout the day with this face wash. It's great for all skin types.

2. Loreal Hydrafresh Gel (Rs.500): This is my summer bestie. This gel moisturises my skin and leaves it non-oily looking. Love it!!!

3. Cosméceutique Under Eye Gel (Rs.450) : I'm trying this out. It's been a couple of weeks and i see that my under eye area feels hydrated. It's water based so my eye area doesn't feel oily. I can see my under eye less darker than before or is it just that it's summer and i'm sleeping alot. haha

4. Cosméceutique Natural Sunscreen (Rs.390) : This sunscreen is amazing!!! It's water based and when applied to skin, the skin feels moisturised and not icky, oily feel that some common sunscreens do. Always in my purse now.

5. Soft lips lip protectant/ balm ($2): It's sort of a sun screen for your lips. It has spf of 20 so yay for the lips in summer. My advice is to get hold of any balm that offers spf in it.

6. Freeman's Facial Detoxifying Mask (Rs. 270) : I just got this randomnly cause of my mom scolding me at the back!! Darn this thing smells yum!!! It's chocolate and strawberry detoxifying mask and by detoxifying means removing of harmful substaces from your body. So, i've tried it and mom too and it's amazing!!! My friend was like "your skin looks fresh". So nothing to say more.

7. Beauty Formula's Deep cleansing Nose Pore strips (Rs. 150-ish) : Well they work fine. They or any nose pore strips should be a must to get that gunk of the nose.

So, That wraps up my skin care routine for summer. Mind you i have combination skin. This is my honest 100% review. Do let me know what you use for yourselves. I would love to try something new!

Take great care.

Ultimate Make-up Kit.....A review

This is Victoria's Secret Ultimate Make-up Kit.

On the box it's written "50 Must-haves for eyes, lips and face". So is it true??? Let's take a look at whats inside.

It contains 30 eyeshadows, 5 lipsticks, 5 lipglosses, 4 blushes, a bronzer, transulenct powder, luminous powder, a lip liner pencil, an eye pencil and a mascara. It contains brushes and applicators which most kits do.

My verdict!!!
The packaging is sleek black, compact enough to fit inside your purse. love it!!!
The eyeshadows are silky HONESTLY....The pigmentation is superb....I've seen kits from other brands but VS's kits are always amazing!!!
Gorgeous lipsticks and lipglosses..... highly pigmented and not sticky.
The blushes are gorgeous and there is only one matte and others have a subtle shimmer to it not chunky glitter.
The luminous powder is amazing for highlighting as it has fine shimmers in it.
The eye pencil is well pigmented..I wish it was in a large size. It goes on smooth.
The lip pencil is also good..Not a huge fan of red lip pencil....it goes on smoothly.
I hate the applicators....The sponge tips don't pack colour on the lids but the lip brushes are handy.
The Mascara is ok....neither lengthens nor volumises the lashes.

Swatches of some eyeshadows...The flash is washing off the pigmentation.

The claiming of being must-haves is true! The eyeshadows, lipsticks, lipglosses, blushes and bronzer are amazing. A must-have INDEED!!!

I will recommend you get this kit for yourself or for your girlfriends. Whomsoever you wish to give. Check out  www.victoriassecret.com for the pricing and other information.

Take great care.

Current Product...

Well this post is on my current product meaning what i'm currently using. That is Maybelline Dream matte mousse.

I'm sure you might have read tonns of posts or seen videos out there. I'm just telling you about my experience with it. This is my first foundation i ever bought. When i saw the advertisement on TV, I was like " Man!!! I wanna get that!". Back then i didn't know it was all editing and stuff. So I saved some money and then rushed to a supermarket ( FYI Naheed supermaket)

Before Blending

After Blending. Excuse the cast as my hand was dry.But i'm sure you get the idea.

So here are my thoughts on it!!
Pros: Smooth, blendable, mediun to full coverage, affordable. Can be used as a concealer.

I spray my synthetic foundation brush with rose water....Yess Rose water!!! And it glides on like cream on bread. haha

Cons: It turned crumbly =(

Mine was like that when i bought it but i've seen others having it just like a mousse. Oh well i guess better luck next time.

Price Tag: Rs. 750( i guess)

So what's your current foundation?? Do let me know in the comment section below.

Take great care.

Oh so Shimmerrr....

This is a review of my favourite product....These are The Body Shop's Shimmer Cubes!

Well they are amazingly pigmented and silky on touch. The size of the cubes is like woah and they will last you forever. Just a swipe gives alot of product so be aware of this. As everyone says "A little goes a long way" so Yeah this statement is true for this product.

I do not know if they are available in these shades. The colours are Green, Red, Brown and orange-y with INTENSE gold shimmer. I don't know the price as they were a gift.

Here are swatches on my fingers. Have a look at the AMAZING pigmentation!!!

They can be used as shadows, the golden one as a highlight, as eyeliners or even on a matte lipstick. Sky is the limit!!!

Check out The Body Shop website or a store near you. If you are the kind of person who is like " Woah!!! That's way too shimmer" then this might not be the product for you.

So what do you think?? Do you have these or some other shimmery shadows?? Do let me know in the comment section below.

Take great care.
